Audemars Piguet Official Sponsor and Time Keeper for Zona Maco 2015

Audemars Piguet, the Swiss Manufacturer has once again celebrated the beauty of art during a successful week at ZONA MACO, the most important contemporary art fair in Latin America, as official sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

Clients, friends, as well as Contemporary Art and Haute Horlogerie enthusiasts visited the exclusive Audemars Piguet VIP lounge. The space inspired by the work of Mathieu Lehanneur, who is responsible for the design of the stands of the brand at the most recent Art Basel circuit, of which Audemars Piguet has been the global partner for the third  consecutive year.
As a central element of the Audemars lounge, the brand presented a selection of exceptional contemporary and historical watches. The exhibition included important pieces dating back to the 19th century.

A panoramic film exploring the Vallée de Joux, by Austrian video artist Kurt Hentschläger, titled “MEASURE,” was also on display in the Audemars Piguet Lounge. For over 30 years, Hentschläger has been working predominantly with time-based media, light and sound. This new piece is a reflection of nature and technology in the 21st century.

About Zona Maco
Each year Zona Maco, Latin America’s most important contemporary art fair, brings collectors, specialists and galleries from every part of the world together in Mexico City. Founded by Zélika García in 2002, Zona Maco has established itself as one of the most notable platforms for selling, displaying, and promoting international contemporary art in the region.

Annually, the fair offers proposals from more than a hundred galleries, editorials, and cultural institutions through five sections: General, New Proposals, Zona Maco Sur, Modern Art, and Design. These proposals are solicited through a selection process led by an international committee, which is composed of renowned gallerists and specialized curators in each section.
