The Chronoffshore 110th Anniversary Limited edition pays tribute to the Edox’s alliance with the high-octane world of Class-1 power boating and celebrates the tenth anniversary of Chronoffshore 1 timepiece that watch launched in 2015.
When Alexander Strambini came on board at Edox in the 1990s he brought both of those worlds together with a daring vision for the boutique Swiss watchmaker. Under Strambini, Edox ventured into a new era of timepieces - models using state-of-the-art materials such as ceramic and titanium boldly designed and ruggedly engineered to perform perfectly under extreme conditions.
The high adrenaline world of offshore power boat competition - regarded as the pinnacle of this type of racing - fitted this new edox ethos perfectly. The monster twin-hulled craft, powered by V12 or V8 engines, can hit speeds of 257km/h on the water and it is a sport where courage, endurance, skill - and timing - are paramount to success. With its Chronoffshore 1 watches edox began its highly successful partnership with the sport, including becoming the official timekeeper of Class-1 Powerboat Championships. Now to mark the 10th anniversary of its Chronoffshore 1 collection, Edox has released the Chronoffshore 1 Limited edition.
At 45 mm in diameter and water-resistant to 300 m, the Chronoffshore 1 is presented in a special watch box. Just 215 will be available world-wide, and all include an engraved 10th anniversary case back featuring the new Chronoffshore 1 logo, the individual watch number and a dramatic outline of the propeller design used in the Class-1 powerboats.
