Edox Les Bémonts C. R.-F. Limited Edition

With the new Les Bémonts C. R.-F. Limited edition automatic, Swiss watch brand Edox pays tribute to Christian Ruefli-flury, the founder of the company.

In 1883 Ruefli-flury, a gifted watchmaker in Granges, gave his wife Pauline a special 25th birthday present; a pocket watch he had designed. Touched by this act of devotion, and impressed by her husband’s skill, Pauline convinced him to begin his own company and thus Edox (the ‘hour’ in ancient Greek) was born. Now Edox presents a stunning watch in honour of its founder. Limited to just 200 numbered pieces worldwide, and presented in a spectacular engraved box, the Les Bémonts C. R.-F. is powered by an ultra-precise automatic chronograph movement.
The fascinating and intricate engineering of the movement that flawlessly tracks the endless passing of time can be seen via the open-worked (or skeletonised) dial. The dial, and transparent case back, allow the wearer an intimate view of the watchmaker’s prowess, a mesmerising “show” as the seconds, minutes and hours pass, measured precisely by the mechanical marvel that powers the Les Bémonts C. R.-F.Limited edition.
Skeletonisation is a delicate art itself, as extreme care must be taken to ensure “removing” parts of the movement does not affect the watch’s accuracy or structural integrity. A soft black leather strap perfectly complements a modern, yet classic looking, timepiece.
The case back of this 44-mm beauty is engraved with Christian Ruefli flury’s initials and individual serial numbers for each piece.
