Mido Commander Chronograph Caliber 60 (M016.414.11.041.00)

Equally elegant and sporty, the new Commander Chronograph Caliber 60 from Mido is fitted with the new Caliber 60, an elaborate automatic movement that ensures up to 60 hours of power reserve. The steel case reveals an elegant, blue, sunray satinated dial lifted by subtle touches of red on the snailed counters and chronograph hands. Just as the Eiffel Tower is an iconic Paris monument, so the Commander is an iconic Mido model.

The distinction of its round steel case endows the Commander collection with an inimitable and immediately recognisable silhouette, just like the Eiffel Tower. And like this unique structure, it has withstood the effects of time to retain an eternally youthful aspect. Its exceptional lifespan is indisputable proof of its success: the Commander has been produced by Mido without interruption since 1959.
The Caliber 60, an automatic movement exclusive to the Swatch Group, is developed in accordance with Mido’s exacting standards to ensure up to 60 hours of power reserve. And while the Commander Chronograph Caliber 60 boasts multiple technical assets, it has not neglect its aesthetic side: an elegant, blue, sunray satinated dial is protected by a robust steel case measuring 42.50 mm in diameter. In addition, subtle touches of red on two snailed counters at 12 and 6 o’clock and on the chronograph hands enable the chronograph functions to be identified at a glance. The day and date can be read in an aperture at 3 o’clock.
Protected by a sapphire crystal, the Commander Chronograph Caliber 60’s expansive dial provides perfect readability for all its functions. And to guarantee easy readability at night, fine touches of white Super LumiNova® adorn the hour and minute hands as well as the indexes. The latter are faceted and nickel plated, evoking the refinement of the Eiffel Tower’s crosspieces. Water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft), this model comes with a steel bracelet and is fitted with a transparent case back through which its elaborate mechanical movement, finely decorated with blued screws, can be admired, along with an oscillating weight decorated with Geneva stripes and the engraved Mido logo.

Two other versions of this model are available.
