Obaku Gents Collection (New Model)

Obaku’s new sporty design has managed to decorate simplicity. The latest watch from the Gents collection has stayed true to the simplistic Obaku identity while subtly adding dynamic, attentive details. The design was inspired by modern high-end automotive models which are found to be both functional and striking. Designer Lau Liengård Ruge says he wanted to create a watch with well thought details that weren’t overbearing and blended with the design. He says the watch expresses an active lifestyle with an air of “understated sportiness shown in a slim minimalistic manner”.
The 39mm case plays a major role in the organic, unbroken flow of the design with a smooth transition between the case and the bracelet. The watch comes with three different colour options that leave you to find the combination that suits you best. Accompanied by a stainless steel bracelet the watch also has a day and date function. The round feel of the case where the band is integrated is found in the top layer of the dial as well as in the day-date eyes. The roundness of the case is convex whereas it’s opposite in the dial with concave shapes. Detail has also been paid in the subtle seconds’ feature which is designed to give the watch a rich feel.
