In step with its brand image, Tonino Lamborghini will appear at Basel World 2015 with a dramatic all black stand featuring products with clean and precise lines that express the uncompromising spirit of the "Raging Bull." The stand, with its pentagonal doors, contains a rumbling surprise: a Yellow Fly 1972 Miura P400 SV, Ferruccio Lamborghini’s most famous car.
The Tonino Lamborghini Group, chaired by the heir of the Lamborghini family Tonino, chose to exhibit this car at Baselworld for several reasons: the Miura heralded a new era in the world of sports cars, and marked Ferruccio’s first major success; the car is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year (it was first presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1965). Ferruccio’s favorite colour for the car, yellow, will be on display at Basel.
In Basel the Tonino Lamborghini group will feature sport watches which evoke the original values of the brand’s history. The Lamborghini heritage is the inspiration behind many products of the brand, including the TONINO LAMBORGHINI SWISS WATCHES. The models that will debut in Basel emphasize the passion for speed and mechanics that have become a distinguishing characteristic of this historical Bolognese brand. From the design of the case to the pushers, the "racing" modelsare characterized by quartz movement and accents that target luxury sports car fans.
The perfect example is the famous SPYDER - this year exhibited in the new versions Quartz 3400, Red Line, Dark Line, 1500 Jumbo and automatic 8800 - and the new chronographs TYRE and GT3. Also on display are automatic watches from the new GRAN PREMIO line, in 3 versions CHRONO,
BICOMPAX and GMT tailored for travellers.
The 1947 limited edition 2015 models, with their classic lines, are niche commemorative collections, characterized by complex movements tailored to the Tonino Lamborghini brand. These watches are geared towards a demanding clientele interested in extreme precision: they are dynamic individuals, professionals, globetrotters.
All models are characterized by the strap clasp with the engraved brand name "Tonino Lamborghini” and the raised bull shield in 3D.

The SPYDER, created in 2008 by the Centro Stile Tonino Lamborghini, is the "cult" model of the TONINO LAMBORGHINI SWISS WATCHES line, and was created as a tribute to the shield that, in the brand’s logo, contains the famous "Raging Bull." In previous models, the shield was the inspiration behind the design of the case, the bezel and other details. In the years following the first quartz movement version, the firm has developed automatic chronograph watches with signature details and characteristics including unique “start/reset” buttons and the engraved letter “L” - of the family name - on the crown. The case of the SPYDER 3400 line evokes the famous and unmistakable shape of the brand’s shield and is enhanced by four decorative screws.
The SPYDER RED LINE is a series of quartz chronographs with Ronda RL 5040.D movement; with the case and lunettes in polished PVD steel, with four decorative screws on the case and bezel with carbon fiber inserts, a material widely used in the world of luxury sports cars. The name of the line comes from the speedometer printed in red on the dial.
The SPYDER DARK LINE is mounted both on 1100 and 3100 cases, as well as cases of the SHIELD 7800 models. It features cases, bezels, crowns, and buttons in sandblasted/polished stainless steel with black PVD treatment and black leather strap.
The new SPYDER 1500 JUMBO line differs from the previous one that was mounted on an 1100 case, because it is larger than ever, 62.00 mm with the crown. It is aimed at an audience that prefers to wear larger wrist watches.
The SPYDER 8850 line is the automatic version of the 3-hands Spyder model: this new version has an automatic movement ETA 2824-2.
The new TYRE chronographs’ case and bezels are in polished/satin stainless steel with or without PVD treatment and get their name from the special shape of the bezels (embellished with six decorative screws) reminiscent of sports car tires.
The GT3 line has the rectangular case in polished/satin stainless steel with or without PVD treatment, a bezel with ten decorative screws and curved mineral glass with non-reflective and sapphire treatments.
The new GRAN PREMIO automatic line features a design made with sculpted and cutting-edge lines, aimed to express the explosive dynamism of these particular models, which in the three different versions respectively feature ETA Valjoux 7750 Chrono, ETA Valjoux 7750 Bicompax, and ETA 2893-2 GMT movements.
The 1947 limited edition 2015 line will be presented in Basel with a revisited design: a larger stainless steel case with a maison Dubois Depraz movement at its core set on an automatic ETA 2892-2 base. The four versions include a Heures Sautantes DD14400A module, a GMT DD312 module that caters to clients who want to control their time in the most direct way. The last two versions are equipped with DD2021 and DD2022 modules. These are chronographs for those who want to have an exact and constant sense of time passing by.
