Meccaniche Veloci appoints Riccardo Monfardino as its new CEO

Luxury watch maker Meccaniche Veloci S.A. has announced the appointment of Riccardo Monfardino as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Geneva-based company.

Monfardino has nearly twenty years of experience in the watchmaking and luxury sectors in Switzerland. During that period, he held several senior executive positions in the industry, notably over fifteen years as Sales Director at Franck Muller. A native of Sardinia, Italy, he began his career as a goldsmith and a jeweler before setting an international course for himself with a move to Switzerland.

Riccardo Monfardino's tasks will be to expand the Meccaniche Veloci's commercial network. He will work closely with Cesare Cerrito, who heads the private-limited company as Executive Chairman. Cerrito was appointed Executive Chairman of Meccaniche Veloci in March, when the management of the brand was taken over by the new Geneva-based company. This move ensured that the brand will maintain Italian design while keeping its “Swiss made” label.
