MeisterSinger - Perigraph & Pangaea Day Date (New Versions with Blue Dials)

MeisterSinger manufactures unusual watches featuring single hand for time display. Besides the single hour hand, the manufacturer’s timepieces are characterized by the meticulous design of the dials, with expressive typography and clearly readable markers.

Last year, MeisterSinger featured bold colors for the first time. The alternating light creates ever-changing shadows that glide across the sunburst blue dials of the No. 03 and the Pangaea, which has made them a great success. The deep blue, with the promise of so many surprises, has proven to be highly compatible with the MeisterSinger wearers’ sense of time. In 2015 MeisterSinger is presenting blue versions of two further models. Both models have already been awarded prestigious design prizes.
Pangaea Day Date with blue dial
The Pangaea Day Date has received both a Red Dot Award and the German Design Award for its pioneering design. As it displays both the date and weekday, it provides plenty of information, although with a diameter of only 40 millimeters and a thickness of 10.5 millimeters, it nevertheless ranks among the smaller and slimmer watches in the MeisterSinger range. Around the center of the dial, the two day and date rings glide past each other in opposite directions. They have been brushed differently than the edge and the center of the dial, not only making their display better distinguishable, but also resulting in beautifully alternating shades of blue. The automatic movement of the Pangaea Day Date can be viewed through its transparent exhibition back.
 Perigraph with blue dial
The Perigraph model has also received a Red Dot Award for its excellent product design and was voted “European Watch of the Year” by the international magazine “WatchWorld” in 2012. Its Swiss automatic movement is set in a distinctive stainless steel case with a diameter of 43 millimeters. In addition to the time, the Perigraph displays the date just below the 12. The date ring is entirely open, giving the dial the appearance of greater depth and structuring the play of light on its finely brushed surface. This feature is just as interesting on an anthracite dial as on a white dial – and even more salient in blue.

The Pangaea Day Date and the Perigraph with blue dials will be available from April 2015 onwards.
