Atelier Fritsch - Introduction

Andreas Fritsch - born in 1968 in Munich - knew already from an early age when his father was repairing a cuckoo clock that he wanted to become a watchmaker. His training as a watchmaker and optician was not enough for him.

Following his master craftsman's certificate in Watchmaking, Andreas attended the International Watchmaking Museum in La-Chaux-De-Fonds, Switzerland in 1990, where he undertook studies as a technician restorer of antique clocks.

He returned to Munich in 1994. Andreas worked for different companies as a watchmaker. He held several positions of responsibility such as with Chronoswiss, where he was responsible for chronographs and special edition models.

Since the year 2000, Andreas Fritsch works as an independent watch and clock restorer with his own workshop in the heart of Munich. "Le cercle" is the result of inspirations from old masters of horology together with Andreas' experiences in bringing back to life those ancient and complicated timepieces with the love and dedication they deserve.

Since autumn 2014, Andreas Fritsch is a candidate of the AHCI (Horological Academy of Independent Creators).
