Christopher Ward Launches Instagram Competition

British watchmaker Christopher Ward has launched a consumer photographic competition on Instagram that encourages people to share their photos of ‘what makes Britain tick’.  Despite the obvious word association with Christopher Ward’s purpose this is not a watch photo competition.

Entrants are encouraged to submit a photo that sums up British personality, the quirks, traditions and  eccentricities, the British countryside, iconic little towns & cities, the sense of humour, sporting events, or simply something personal etc - pictures that sum up living in Britain.

The competition runs until midnight 31st May 2015. All entrants have to do is follow @chriswardlondon on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, take a picture of what they think 'makes Britain tic' and then upload their photo on Instagram and tags @chriswardlondon with the hashtag #makesBRITAINtick.
Instagrammers are invited to snap away and share their own images via Instagram using  #makesBRITAINtick, making sure sure to follow @chriswardlondon on Instagram, to enable their photo or photos (there’s no limit) to be automatically entered into the competition to win one of 3 top prizes : 1st place -£3000, 2nd place – £2000 or 3rd place – £1000.

The competition opens on 1 May and runs to midnight on 31 May 2015.  At that point a shortlist selection of the top 100 images – those with the most number of likes – will go forward to a judging panel of photography experts.  Photos will be judged on creativity, originality and relevance to the theme. The judges’ selection of the top 3 winners is final and will be announced on 30 June 2015.  The photo must be an original and can portray any aspect of what makes Britain tick.
