Rado Premieres as Official Timekeeper at the Optima Open, Belgium

Swiss watch brand Rado has enhanced its presence in the world of tennis and will be present for the first time as Official Timekeeper at the Optima Open, set to take place August 14 - 16 at the Royal Zoute Tennis Club in KnokkeHeist, Belgium.

The Optima Open draws top players from the ranks of former tennis champions, who come to the Royal Zoute Tennis Club to play every year. Among the players expected this year are a number of former greats, including the legendary Pete Sampras, Yannick Noah, Xavier Malisse, Mansour Bahrami, Greg Rusedski and Henri Leconte. The Royal Zoute Tennis Club was founded more than a century ago, in 1910, and currently has 43 courts, with centre court welcoming up to 2,500 spectators.

As Official Timekeeper, Rado will be at centre court with two corner clocks in place to time every match. Sporty, sophisticated and inspired by tennis, the Rado HyperChrome Match Point is the tournament’s Official Watch. It features a small seconds counter marked at 00, 15 and 40, and a chronograph hour counter with a netlike design. The monobloc case and bracelet are in matt plasma high-tech ceramic with polished plasma middle links, and the bezel features an engraved tachometric scale. Limited to 999 individually numbered pieces, the Rado HyperChrome Match Point is a breath-taking timepiece, and the perfect watch to wear when lifting a trophy.
