DAVOSA Ternos Vintage

After the great success of Military vintage collection, Swiss watch brand DAVOSA enhances the popular Ternos series by presenting a new model with a vintage look. Dedicated for purists, this timepiece comes without date and a sturdy vintage leather strap ensures the striking look to this timepiece.
The two vintage variants are available. Tested for a water resistance up to 200 meters, the Ternos Vintage model boasts a robust stainless steel housing surgical steel screw-down crown and screw-down, unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire glass. Inside DAVOSA Ternos beats a reliable Swiss automatic movement ETA 2824-2.
About a century ago Superluminova was not used as a light source for watches, but a radium compound. The use of radium in watch making is prohibited today due to serious health hazards. Indexes and Hands of Ternos Vintage are embedded with a special Superluminova covered in color “Old Radium “. It recreates the color of radium - but without serious side effects, so an authentic vintage feel is produced and can be enjoyed safely.
The massive metal band, with which the Ternos is usually equipped, is not used in the Ternos Vintage. Instead, the timepiece is fitted with a leather strap, which is subject to a natural aging process in a complex process. Each band is unique, which is provided by hand with a contrasting seam. In the course of carrying each band will also develop its own patina. A massive pin buckle ensures a secure and flexible seating.
