MotoGP™ legend and long-time TW Steel Global Brand Ambassador Mick Doohan is celebrated once again with the introduction of a brand new Special Edition Grandeur Tech timepiece bearing the Australian’s signature.
The new Mick Doohan Special Edition Grandeur Tech (TS6 – 48mm, €599,- / $699 US) was launched in Melbourne at The Olsen hotel with the five-time MotoGP™ World Champion in attendance to present his latest model to an enthusiastic reception from guests in attendance. The timing was of course fitting with Round 16 of the 2015 MotoGP™ World Championship hosted in Australia at Phillip Island on Sunday 18th October – an event Doohan himself won three times to the delight of the home fans during his standout career.
Inspired by performance and boasting a sleek contemporary design, the third TW Steel collaboration with Doohan builds on the success of his previous Tech and CEO Tech editions while offering a distinctive new look to his watch line-up.
Powered by the state-of-the-art Chronograph Big Caliber Miyota 6S20 movement, the black dial comprises a subtle mixture of grey and red accents while the case back features Mick Doohan’s signature to confirm his seal of approval. The dynamic look of the model is completed with a durable black silicon strap with red lines accenting the sides and a PVD black plated clasp. The timepiece is also 10 ATM water resistant for added durability.
