Arnold & Son exhibits at the world’s Number One boat show in Fort Lauderdale

From Thursday, November 5 to Monday, November 9, the self‐proclaimed “Yachting Capital of the World” welcomed super yachts, mega yachts and craft of all shapes and sizes to the 56th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Northrop & Johnson, the show’s largest super yacht exhibitor, appeared with a collection of impressive vessels from its international fleet. As one of the American company’s Global Luxury Partners, Swiss luxury watch brand Arnold & Son took a prominent role and displayed a full complement of fine timepieces at the Northrop & Johnson stand.
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) attracts a wealthy clientele from all over the world, seeking anything from nine‐figure mega yachts to sailing boats and other more modest craft simply for fishing. And it was here in the “Venice of America” that Arnold &Son welcomed a select group of watch aficionados, who had the chance to preview some of the company’s latest products: timepieces that highlight the quest for state‐of‐the‐art technical excellence, outstanding design and true luxury shared by high‐end watchmaking and super yacht manufacturers.

One of the Arnold & Son watches on display perfectly exemplified that quest. The TB88 clearly reflects the influence of England’s traditional watchmaking heritage in general and the brand’s own specific qualities. With a true beat complication and the symmetrical arrangement of twin barrels, balance wheel, and seconds display, it is the epitome of perfect equilibrium.

On Saturday, November 7, Arnold & Son also played a central role in an auction organized by KID, Kids in Distress, an association that collects funds for abused and neglected children. Held at the Northrop & Johnson booth, the auction featured a unique HMS1 in stainless steel with a gray dial. All the proceeds will go entirely to KID.
But the highlight of the show had to be the party organized by Northrop & Johnson together with strategic partners Arnold & Son and Aston Martin. The gala event was held on a fabulous yacht with music, food and beverages to match and attended by a select guest list, who also showed their appreciation for the masterful Arnold & Son timepieces on display.
