Armand Nicolet O.H.M. L15 Limited Edition

Swiss luxury watch brand Armand Nicolet welcomes a new model L15 to its prestigious limited edition series O.H.M.

The O.H.M. (Original Historical Movement) Series feature original historical movements from the 1950’s and 1960’s that are recovered and tuned in Armand Nicolet’s atelier. These series are produced only in Limited Editions because the quantity is determined by the amount of original historical movements still available. Watchmakers at Armand Nicolet’s atelier manually restore and re-assemble each of these unique pieces. These precious movements are the result of many years of expertise and dedication to the fine art of watch-making. The uniqueness, the beauty and the exceptional technical value along with the historical charm are the reasons of the extraordinary success of Armand Nicolet’s O.H.M. Series.
Thanks to its slightly smaller case, curved dial and leaf shaped hands; the L15 is simply the watch you need to highlight the shape of your wrist. These features will spread a halo of elegance and charm from your figure that will be impossible to resist. The observance of the tradition is kept by its finishing, which is the same of the successful LL9 model.
This collection is offered in the three classic materials: stainless steel, gold and a combination of the two. The colour of the dial varies from silvered to black without forgetting the grey shade of the stainless steel version. The grey dial with pink indexes is available on the two toned version and also on the rose gold model that comes with silvered dial as well. The limited amount of watches produced relates to the quantity of original components from 1967 still available in the Armand Nicolet factory.

The L15 collection will be produced in the total amount of 450 pieces (400 pieces in stainless steel and two-toned, 50 pieces in rose gold).

Eterna Adventic GMT with in-house 3914A calibre

The new Adventic GMT is a masterpiece of fine watchmaking from Eterna that underscores the importance of substance over appearance. An understated, modern aesthetic joins forces with forward-looking technology, practical functionality with first-rate quality and reliability.

The Adventic GMT has a pronounced individual character and displays its contemporary aesthetic appeal without resorting to unnecessary gimmickry. Nevertheless, as the displays on the dial suggest, the Eterna inhouse 3914A calibre housed inside the case represents technology at its most advanced. To achieve this, the basic 39 movement was equipped with automatic winding, a date window at 3 o'clock, a small seconds at 9 o'clock and a practical additional time zone. The latter features a 24-hour scale and is accommodated at 6 o'clock in its own subdial, whose distinctive colour and design sets it apart from the rest of the watch.
In the latest version of the Adventic GMT, the single hands in the second time zone and the small seconds are both neon orange-coloured, which adeptly creates a link to the warm brown of the ostrich skin strap. Otherwise, the beautiful anthracite dial is reduced to essentials and radiates stylish self-assurance. Elegant, elongated indices with luminous highlights are dotted around an outer ring whose discreet circular decoration is reiterated at the centre of the two subdials. The simple design of the hands, likewise finished in anthracite and coated with white SuperLuminova, perfectly rounds off the modern, no-frills display for maximum legibility.
The 42-millimetre stainless-steel case with its unfussy, gently contoured bezel, slim lugs and finely knurled crown radiates the same, stylish discretion. The time and skill lavished on the finish is reflected in the fascinating interplay of the polished and satinized parts, and in the five decorative grooves that embellish the sides of the case. Five small spheres on the crown represent the famous Eterna brand logo.

The Adventic GMT's automatic 3914A movement is based on the Eterna proprietary 39 calibre, the latest innovation from the company's workshops in Grenchen, which can be modified to produce no fewer than 88 different movements. The basic movement, which in its simplest form is hand-wound, owes its astonishing versatility to the unique modular design. This permits simple and efficient integration of additional components and sub-assemblies. Apart from its unmatched versatility, the calibre's enormous potential lies in standardized production and optimized assembly that guarantee outstanding movement quality. Like all other versions of the movement, the Adventic GMT's 3914A calibre has other impressive features such as chronometer-level precision and a guaranteed 68-hour power reserve, and is equipped with further-improved Spherodrive technology. Seventy percent of the parts are manufactured at Eterna's Grenchen headquarters or in the immediate vicinity.

Eterna Super KonTiki

Since 1962, the name Super KonTiki has been synonymous among divers for outstanding reliability and precision. Today, the first diver's watch with a rotating bezel from the House of Eterna is a timekeeping icon both on land and below the surface. This year, the original celebrates its much -awaited revival with several new models, including the Black edition, limited to 888 watches.
When Eterna developed its first KonTiki models back in 1958 to commemorate a daring expedition across the Pacific, a unique success story for the art of Swiss watchmaking began. The watch line rapidly established itself as a benchmark for extreme sportiness, absolute reliability and precision, ruggedness and resilience. It has remained so to this day, almost five decades on.
Even the earliest KonTiki steel cases were water resistant to 200 metres. In 1962, Eterna also developed the Super KonTiki for professional divers, the first diver's watch with a rotating bezel. Its large, highly legible Roman numerals supplied divers with the information they needed to time decompression stops correctly during ascents.
Now, in 2015, Eterna pays tribute to this unmistakable icon of timekeeping both above and below the surface with the launch of new Super KonTiki models inspired by the 1960s’ and 1970s’ originals. The new watches have unmistakably inherited the solid case with its contoured sides, as well as the characteristic rotating bezel with its chunky, knurled edges, from their predecessors.
The triangular indices, shaped like a compass needle, are likewise a stylistic element that characterized the first KonTiki watches. The robust, strikingly sporty exterior combined with the reliable automatic movement predestines the Super KonTiki to be the ideal companion for modern adventurers and explorers who attach value to having their own individual sense of style.
For all those in search of something special, Eterna presents the Super KonTiki Black Limited Edition. For this version, limited to just 888 watches, the case comes shrouded in mysterious, jet-black. The orange-coloured, Superluminova-coated hands and luminescent dots adjacent to the hour indices stand out even more prominently against the likewise jet-black dial and guarantee perfect legibility whatever the lighting conditions.
The Super KonTiki Black Limited Edition comes with a black milanese bracelet, a black NATO strap with a central orange stripe that exactly matches the colour of the hands, and a black leather strap.

The brand also offers three unlimited versions of Super KonTiki in stainless steel. In these models, the famous compass needle-shaped indices on the black dial and the luminescent hands are finished either in neutral white or an eye-catching yellow. The cool vintage style is perfectly rounded off with a milanese bracelet, a black-and-orange NATO strap or a leather strap with the popular used look.
The watches in the KonTiki line are a reminder of the courage and resolution of archaeologist and ethnologist Thor Heyerdahl. Back in 1947, the 32-year-old Norwegian and five other scientists set out from the Peruvian coast into the Pacific Ocean on a simple raft made of balsa wood named after Kon-Tiki, an Incan sun god.

Heyerdahl had embarked on his derring-do expedition to prove that it would have been technically possible for the pre-Columbian Indians of South America to reach Polynesia with the help of the Humboldt Current and the Passat wind. On their wrists the researchers wore specially made, extremely tough and reliable watches from Eterna's workshops. The crew put their trust in these indispensable navigation aids whenever they had to carry out manoeuvres or make decisions upon which depended not only the success of their mission but also the survival of the men themselves.

After 101 days and nights on the high seas, with almost 8000 kilometres behind them, Thor Heyerdahl and his crew finally reached the Raroia atoll in Polynesia. Their watches likewise survived the journey and shown no sign of damage from salt water, the humidity or the fluctuating temperatures. The technical findings and expertise taken from the creation of the timepieces for this successful expedition subsequently flowed into the further development of Eterna's sports watches.

CERTINA DS Action Chronograph

Equipped with either a moulded rubber strap or a three-row brushed stainless-steel bracelet, the new DS Action Chronograph is a stunning timepiece. Its broad bezel and oversized, skeletonised hands, indices and indicators make reading the time an easy matter in all conditions, enhanced by the uncompromising accuracy provided by its cutting-edge PrecidriveTM movement. The DS Action's sporty dial comes in either black or blue, to satisfy all watch lovers.

The brushed 316L stainless-steel case of the new, Precidrive- equipped CERTINA DS Action Chronograph is slightly oversized at 43 mm and makes a truly distinctive design statement. Its broad, polished unidirectional bezel wears large, highly-visible numerals, as well as a stripe of Superluminova along the first quadrant from 12 to 3 o’clock. Further Superluminova treatment on large dots at five-minute marks, inside the bold triangle-tipped indices at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock as well as on the various hands, ensures optimal underwater readability. Behind a sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both faces, the black dial is home to two chronograph counters, for 30-min. and 1/10th-sec., and a small-second counter, each one highlighted by a silver-coloured outline. A date window is conveniently placed at 6 o'clock.
Safety features and famous DS-Concept (Double Security) assembly make the DS Action Chronograph especially well-suited to very demanding environments. A screw-on case-back, screw-in push-buttons as well as a protected screw-in crown inscribed with the letters "DS", allow a high level of security. The timepiece is water-resistant up to a pressure of 30 bar (300 m) and the presence of the historical CERTINA turtle logo on its case-back is a constant reminder of the DS Action’s outstanding quality.

Other versions of the DS Action are available to suit different occasions. A three-row stainless-steel bracelet version with a twin-push-button buckle and diver extension, a rubber-strap version with the same twin-push-button buckle with diver extension, and a titanium version, equipped with a matching twin-push-button diver-extension buckle.

The latest edition of the CERTINA DS Stella adds a dash of modernity to an exquisite timepiece which now also features a highly-accurate Precidrive™ movement at its core. A deliberately open and bright dial design unites silver-coloured surfaces and a richly feminine band of mother-of-pearl around a central sunray-textured area, for a stylish and truly original touch. Carefully placed upon the mother-of-pearl surface, evocative, classical PVD yellow Roman numerals and indices tell the time through a sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both faces.
An angled outer rim adds visual depth to the design and carries twelve delicate Top Wesselton diamonds to mark the hours. The graceful, gently rounded PVD yellow HM hands are treated with Superluminova, which is also added to a small eye on the central second hand. An oversized date window is placed at 3 o’clock.

The bicolour polished 316L stainless-steel case wears a narrow bezel in the same PVD yellow used on other elements of the DS Stella, next to a case back decorated with the historical CERTINA turtle logo. The timepiece is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m) and is of course equipped with the well-known CERTINA DS Concept. It sports a five-row bicolour PVD yellow and polished stainless-steel bracelet with a twin-push-button butterfly buckle, in perfect harmony with the case.

HUBLOT - Big Bang Ferrari Carbon King Gold & Big Bang Ferrari Carbon Titanium

The Big Bang Ferrari Carbon is the embodiment of exclusivity and sporting prowess, offering a fusion of high-quality and high-tech materials. It took the R&D department six months to structure the layers of materials which form the bi-material bezel and to obtain a regular incrustation of the metal in the carbon. The result is a carbon bezel incrusted with gold, or titanium, which reinforces the high-tech spirit of the Big Bang model. The properties of the composite's materials complement each other in a fusion which marries beauty and innovation.
The case – made from titanium or an exclusive King Gold alloy – features a special finish: a brilliant, micro-blasted coating for extra hardness and a silky metallic-effect appearance. The case middle incorporates elongated push-buttons, fixed to a rotating staff like the controls on a car.
The dial features an appliqué of the iconic prancing horse at 9 o'clock, while the minute counter and date window appear at 3 o'clock in the colours of the Ferrari shield.
The Big Bang Ferrari Carbon is fitted with a Unico manufacture movement, available for the first time in an All Black version. Its black PVD-coated main plate, bridges and oscillating weight are visible through the dial and sapphire back.

Each timepiece is paired with a "One click" leather strap, sewn onto grey rubber, featuring the signature stitching on Ferrari’s upholstery. The titanium version with a black strap is available as a 1000-piece limited edition; the King Gold version with a brown strap is available as a 500-piece limited edition.

Tissot PRS 516 New Version

The Tissot PRS 516 references Tissot's fabulous history and shows it is still at the forefront for motorsport devotees. It looks back to 1965 when the Tissot PR 516 paid homage to a racing car with the familiar holes in the steering wheel seen in the watch's strap and immortalised in Tissot's iconic advertisement '"hand on the steering wheel".

The new model is sharply modern but just as stylish, with a smooth banana shape case with black bezel and pushers which resemble the pistons of a car engine. Fans will be delighted original details remain, with the famous holes in the strap and floating indices with hands that pass underneath adding an authentic, vintage touch.
Like a fine racing car, the Tissot PRS 516 pays close attention to detail to ensure a winning result. For the first time, it boasts a new movement for Tissot, that, as well as being highly performing, with its 60 hours of power reserve, also has a rotor shaped like a steering wheel for an adrenaline-fuelled finish.
Additionally it uses materials that are both tough and opulent – with a new ceramic or carbon bezel which features a tachymeter, while a domed anti-reflective sapphire glass is not only luxurious but also brings the details to life. Detailed patterns on the dial give a luxurious sense of depth, while a date display window and the volume around the counters and edge of the dial reference beautiful racing cars. Extra touches of colour on the bracelet or dial add a sense of dynamism budding race car drivers will appreciate.

Paul Picot Atelier - The Dragon e Fish date

The saga of the Grand Feu enamel dials continues this year unabated in its success and is increasing popularity very quickly due to the high demand from the lovers of the art of the enamel.  After the horse, the toucan, the frog, the snake, the tiger and the butterfly, this year the Dragon and the Fish adorn the 18K rose gold Atelier case.
The Paul Picot Atelier “l’Art de l’émail” dials are embellished using high quality ancestral techniques: Champlevé, Flinqué and enamelling. In the Champlevé technique, hollows are created to be filled with enamel. In Flinqué, incisions are made in the tiniest surfaces to intensify the colours. Lastly, the dial is enamelled. Harry Winston Midnight Diamond Stalactites Automatic 36mm

The enchanting Midnight Diamond Stalactites present a fitting addition to the extraordinary lineage of precious Midnight creations from the House of Harry Winston.

Building on its gemsetting expertise, Harry Winston designers established a unique rhythm to recreate the random appearance of frozen ice found only in nature. For the rose gold model, in-house artisans delicately set the dial with round brilliant diamonds, depicting splendid stalactites. The white gold model features a fancy arrangement of sapphires and diamonds that perfectly complements the graded shades of the dial.
Harry Winston’s Midnight Diamond Stalactites are adorned with a delicate and ever-changing mother-of-pearl dial, perfect for the face of a feminine watch. The gentle hues of the Tahitian mother-of-pearl and shimmering white mother-of-pearl beautifully accentuate the radiance of the precious stones and highlight the exquisite delicacy of the design.
Midnight Diamond Stalactites, like the House’s Premier and Ocean Collections, appear in a 36-millimeter case. A first for the Midnight Collection, this new case size maintains the precision and seamlessness of its predecessors, while revealing an intimate forest of stalactites that at once radiates both strength and fragility.

Midnight Diamond Stalactites is driven by a mechanical automatic movement equipped with a silicon balance-spring. The dial, case and lugs sparkle with 245 brilliant-cut diamonds on the rose gold model, while the white gold variation is set with 110 sapphires and 135 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 70th Anniversary Edition

The Vintage 1945 timepiece celebrates its 70th anniversary - Girard-Perregaux reinterprets the Art Deco lines of its iconic collection with two limited series paying tribute to the original model and the great watchmaking tradition of the bicentenary Manufacture.

Vintage 1945 Small Second 70th Anniversary Edition
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vintage 1945 collection, Girard-Perregaux offers a modern reinterpretation of the personality of the original model. Its two-toned pink gold and steel case, the applied numerals on its dial and hands are a throwback to the 1945 model, echoing the Brand's tradition.

Girard-Perregaux celebrates its iconic Vintage 1945 with a gold and steel sculpted re-edition - a tribute to the original watch and the combination of materials so characteristic of Art Deco. Its elegant rectangular case with generous dimensions is faithful to the identity codes of the collection. The straight lines and curves are a vibrant tribute to the aesthetic heritage of the early twentieth century. Arched in both directions, it reduces its presence on the wrist while also perfecting the fit. The crown integrated in the middle fades to better enhance the watch profile.  On its back, the engraving of the limited edition and commemorative logo of the anniversary highlights the Art Deco-inspired collection and recalls the famous arrow shape of Girard-Perregaux Bridges.
Like the case, the dial presents a doubly-curved shape and is indicative of the skills needed to create such a piece. The hours are marked as on the original model by Arabic numerals. The applied numerals take the pink gold color of the bezel while the small second indication at 6 o'clock underscores its symmetry and balance. The dauphine-shaped minute and hour hands are faceted and delicately curved by hand to follow the shape of the dial.
This aesthetic sophistication is completed by a Manufacture movement with automatic winding, the GP03300-0051 indicating hours and minutes with the small second at 6 o'clock.  Born in the Girard-Perregaux workshops in compliance with the Brand's watchmaking tradition, it ensures reliability and precision. Equipped with a minimum 46-hour power reserve, its frequency is 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. With a 25.60 mm diameter and a height of 4.20 mm, it consists of 213 components. Its decoration opts for a traditional combination of côtes de Genève and circular graining on the bridges, main plate and oscillating weight.

To complete this tribute edition, Girard-Perregaux has opted for an elegant brown alligator strap mounted on a folding clasp.

Vintage 1945 – Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges 70th anniversary Edition
The Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Vintage 1945 collection. Two limited editions create an exceptional link between eras, with the legendary Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon in the iconic Art Deco-inspired casing of the Vintage 1945 collection.

Few watchmaking designs have the rich history of the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges. In the nineteenth century, Constant Girard-Perregaux devoted many years to studying and building various escapement systems, in particular with tourbillon. His developments guided him towards majestic architecture: he redesigned three arrow-shaped bridges to hold the mobile parts of the movement and arranged them in parallel fashion, aligning the barrel, the gears and tourbillon on the same axis. He thus embodied a totally innovative concept: the movement was no longer just a technical and functional element, but a full-fledged design element. The perseverance and ingenuity of the La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmaker were rewarded in 1889 when the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges won a gold medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition.

Several decades later, this movement continues to drive the Girard-Perregaux timepieces with the same requirements. The Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges imposes its iconic architecture and continues a tradition based on exceptional manufacturing and finishing criteria. The three parallel arrow-shaped Bridges create a perfect balance on the movement whose shape is adapted to the Vintage 1945 case. The combination of favourite Art Deco materials highlights the strength and character of this timepiece.
Entirely handmade, the finishing requires such dexterity that it can only be carried out by a few artisans at the top of their art. The pink gold Bridges are rounded-off: their chamfering gives them a rounded shape, over their entire length, a perfect curve. The light glides over and is reflected on their "mirror polished" finish, offering a fascinating contrast with the matte finish of the main plate. The Tourbillon is also the subject of particular attention, its 80 component parts being assembled within a space only 10 mm in diameter. To maintain its oscillations, Girard-Perregaux has chosen automatic winding with a platinum micro-rotor positioned under the barrel. It is an ingenious solution that leaves the architectural majesty of the movement intact.

Two limited editions are available. One of 18 watches in white gold and the other consisting of 8 watches, also in white gold and set with 112 baguette-cut diamonds whose geometry radiantly highlights the lines of the elegant rectangular case. Girard-Perregaux has chosen an invisible setting, one of the most complex techniques in the production of jewelled watches, juxtaposing the gems side by side in such a way that no metal is visible. The back is satin-finished and engraved with the commemorative logo of the 70th anniversary of the collection. Both models are available with a black alligator strap with a white gold folding clasp, set with 8 baguette diamonds for the jewelled version.

About Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Collection
Like the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, the Vintage 1945 collection is rooted in the rich history of Girard-Perregaux. It started back in 1945. At the time, watch design was inspired by Art Deco; major artistic movement that profoundly made its mark on architecture, interior design, fashion, painting and photography.  The movement is based on the fundamental concepts of simplicity, geometry and structural coherence.

As a result, the right angle became poetic and understated forms aimed for perfection. Inspired by this creative explosion, in 1945 Girard-Perregaux designed a watch illustrating these principles. The watch featured a very simple structure with a rectangular case extended by lugs, symmetric design and curved sides incorporating the crown. Similarly, the alternation of materials - gold and steel - was characteristic of the Art Deco period.
Exactly fifty years later, in 1995, an original model of this watch reappeared in the collections of the Girard-Perregaux Museum. This was the origin of the collection called "Vintage 1945".  Far from being a nostalgic reproduction, the new model was thoroughly redesigned to form a modern creation, firmly rooted in its time: its case was waterproof, the fragile hesalite crystal was replaced with scratchproof sapphire, the pressed dial gave way to a dial machined into a spherical shape and specially curved hands hugged its dome. However, its general appearance reflected the beautiful simplicity that characterized the original watch: rectangular angles highlighted by gadroons, elongated horns, curved case perfectly fitting the wrist and a discreetly integrated crown.
Also similar to the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, the Vintage 1945 has since been constantly adapted.

Like the 1945 original, the initial model of the contemporary series was fitted with a hand-winding mechanical movement, the GP 101 caliber. Several combinations of materials, between pink or yellow gold and steel, were proposed, as well as a wide range of dial variants. As of 1996, the GP 101 was replaced by the automatic calibers of the GP 3000 series. Able to change according to preference, they allowed the Vintage 1945 to display a multitude of functions, which are still available today. The ladies' models and a metal strap appeared the same year.

The year 1999 saw the presentation of a variant to this global success: the automatic chronograph. The small volume of its GP 30C0 movement with column-wheel allowed Girard-Perregaux to offer, for the first time, a rectangular chronograph with dimensions adapted to any wrist, even women's. It was manufactured in many versions in gold or steel. One of these was a special series dedicated to the Villa Marguerite, the Brand's museum.

Why not combine the pure and symmetrical shapes of two emblems of Girard-Perregaux?  The idea grew in the early 2000s and came to fruition in 2004: the Vintage 1945 Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges was born, which summarized all of the Brand's aesthetic and technical expertise.
The watch was beautiful in every way, immediately recognizable, without the need to read the brand printed under the crystal. This foray into the field of Fine Watchmaking was not the only one: variants included a chronograph and perpetual calendar or perpetual calendar and equation of time, or split-second chronograph and jumping seconds.

In 2006 Girard-Perregaux presented what some consider the most amazing watch in recent years: the Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon. In addition to its impressive dimensions, its Tourbillon allows it to stand out mainly because its movement incorporated a slot machine mechanism, the famous "one-armed bandit" invented by Charles Fey in 1895. As with the original machine, the lever positioned on the side of the case could be pulled to rotate the drums. When they stopped randomly, a delicate jingling was heard. Disconcerting at first sight, it was nevertheless part of a long tradition, particularly strong in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when watch mechanisms used to entertain their owners.

Natives of La Chaux-de-Fonds include Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, one of the biggest names in modern architecture and design. In 2012, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of his birth, Girard-Perregaux decided to dedicate a trilogy of versions of the Vintage 1945 symbolizing the three cities where he worked: La Chaux-de-Fonds, Paris and Marseille. The materials used to make these watches, of which only 5 copies of each were made, were dear to Le Corbusier: steel, engraved metal, mother-of-pearl, leather and even concrete.

Lebeau-Courally Phase De Lune

Lebeau-Courally, the manufacturer of highly exclusive hunting guns that incorporate traditional know how and artistic crafts, now sets to become a fully established luxury watch manufacture, thanks to the recent acquisitions made by the current owner of the Belgium based prestigious gun manufacturer.

In 2015, at Baselworld jewellery and watch fair, Lebeau-Courally unveiled the Phase de Lune – the first watch in its Manufacture Collection. It is equipped with the first Lebeau-Courally calibre ever made for watches, the LC0040.

This exceptional mechanical movement drives a fixed moon phase for which the brand applied for a patent licence. This innovation not only showcases the technical creativity of its in-house watchmakers – it also embodies a realistic reproduction of the different lunar phases in the moon calendar, for the first time ever.

Most traditional moon phase watches have always used an optical illusion with a lunar disc that gradually disappears behind the dial. In actual astronomy, the moon never disappears – except in the case of a total eclipse. In fact, based on its orbital position relative to Earth, the moon shows us its sunlit side in different angles. Consequently, what we actually see from our planet is that ‘lit’ part of the moon, which we call the moon phase.
In Lebeau-Courally’s Phase de Lune, this natural phenomenon is reproduced by a rotating disc that covers part of the fixed moon, represented with extremely detailed relief. The exactitude of this rotating masking disc is guaranteed by a wheelwork, subject to the hour wheel – and progressing continuously to complete the lunar cycle of 29.5 days. This watch therefore shows the lunation from the left to the right – representing the way we perceive the moon in our regions. Depending on your position on the planet – east, west, north or south – the lunar cycle is perceived differently. In Hong Kong, for example, the moon phases evolve top to bottom.

The uniqueness of Lebeau-Courally’s moon phase consists of the fact that the fixed moon can be positioned in such a way that it represents the moon phase and its evolution realistically – exactly as it would occur in the position where the observer is located on Earth.

Lebeau-Courally’s Phase de Lune calibre is housed in a gold case of 43 mm in diameter. The dial and the moon phase disc have been crafted in enamel ‘grand feu’. Apart from hour and minute indications, a third hand indicates the date on a 1 to 31 scale around the dial. At 8 and 10 o’ clock a newly designed lever in the shape of a ‘clé de fusil’ can be found. This lever is an iconic design feature of all Lebeau-Courally watches, referring to its heritage in bespoke hunting arms making. This lever has 2 functions: pressing it changes the date instantly; lifting it adjusts the moon phase setting.

Inside beats the LC0040 calibre, a mechanical movement with double barrel manual winding to guarantee a power reserve of at least 100 hours. With all components conceived, developed and produced by the Swiss Lebeau-Courally manufacture in Le Locle, this watch holds 195 components. Among those: a unique anchor escapement with a spiral and a balance with internally adjustable screws. The finishing of all components is done by hand – respecting the great Swiss watchmaking tradition. The movement can be admired through the sapphire glass on the back of the watch. The movement furthermore covers the entire case-back of the watch – the silent, yet distinctive proof of authentic manufacture calibres.

JEANRICHARD Bronze Terrascope

Right at a first glance, the two bronze JEANRICHARD Terrascopes in 44 and 39 mm embody the quintessence of watchmaking, imbued with a sense of authenticity, elegance and grace – in any size, for any wrist and for males or females alike. The newest addition to the recently presented Terrascope 44 mm model is the 39 mm interpretation of the bronze dial Terrascope with a set bezel – an everyday watch with stunningly beautiful details that turn it into an elegant and utterly female timepiece.

The iconic JEANRICHARD Terrascope family has recently been extended by the 39 mm diameter timepieces, with the perfect dimensions to dress any wrists. This new model goes one step further by boasting a diamond-set bezel and a polished and vertically satin-finished stainless steel case particularly targeting the female audience. The growing affinity and interest of women in incorporating a timepiece into their lifestyle inspired JEANRICHARD to create this Terrascope 39 mm watch.
The unconventionality of the Terrascope paired with the discreet elegance give the bronze 39 mm timepiece a certain distinction and timeless touch. Whereas the cushion-shaped case and ostrich strap give the Terrascope the optical strength, the refined bronze tone that can be found on the dial and the shimmering brilliant-cut diamonds fortify the magnificence of this timepiece. The brushed dial, protected by an antireflective sapphire crystal case, creates a subtle contrast that enhances the shine of the diamonds, giving this watch an even higher intensity and elegance.

The core of the bronze watches remains the self-winding JR60 movement and the mechanical caliber that can be admired through a sapphire-crystal case back in the new 39 mm version. The ostrich strap is equipped with a stainless steel folding buckle and ensures comfort.
