Hastings & Co Heritage Edition

After successful production and shipment of its first and crowd funded Classic Edition watch collection, Canada based watch brand Hastings & Co opens a new chapter with the introduction of Heritage Edition. Like the first collection, the Heritage Edition will be launched through a popular online crowd funding platform.

Inspired by the legendary Bauhaus design, the Heritage Edition is that first mechanical watch collection from the brand which launched its operations in 2014. This new timepiece house Cal. 8215 automatic Miyota movement, a high precise watch movement manufactured in Japan.
The case of timepiece is crafted in stainless and has a polished finish. It boasts a simple yet elegant look. Measuring 40mm diameter, the watch case fits comfortably on wrist thanks to its sleek design and curved lugs. The automatic movement, which beats inside the watch, is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The Miyota Cal. 8215 that powers the timepiece incorporates 21 jewels and beats at the rate of 21,600 vph. Equipped with shock resistant technology, this self winding movement offers basic timekeeping functions and date display.
Beautifully crafted enamel dial featuring applied indices and dauphine hands gives this timepiece a classic and elegant look similar to high end luxury watches. Two dial versions are available: Black or White. White dial version boasts the signature Hastings & Co blue seconds hand.
The date window positioned at 6’o clock is adorned with a bevelled metal piece. The symmetrical layout of date window and hands makes the dial easier to read. The Hastings & Co Heritage Edition comes fitted with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass which offers a perfect view of dial. The timepiece completes with an Italian made calf-leather strap fitted with butterfly clasps.
Presently the watch is available though a crowd finding campaign on Kickstarter with prices starting at US$180. Four models are available: Rose gold or silver with black or white dial versions. Post KS campaign, the Hastings & Co Heritage Edition will be offered with a retail price of US$299.
The complete package comes in a Piano black wood presentation box with a leather interior and certificate of authenticity.
