Pacific Standard Time Oceania Watch: The first and only wooden wristwatch that offers up to 100 meters water resistance

Young watch brand Pacific Standard Time Co. is setting a new standard for original wooden timepieces by launching the first and only waterproof wooden watch that can withstand up to 10 ATM (100 meters).
The team behind this horology brand hold the traditions of the entire Pacific including Hawaii and other islands in high regard. As an homage to the cultures of the Pacific Islands Pacific Standard Time Co. has created the Oceania Watch, made out of the local exoctic wood from the islands, and perfect for those who enjoy being in the water.
The watches will be available in models using Koa wood, Milo wood, Pheasant wood, and Mango wood. Each has a unique story and beautiful natural coloration and grain.

Pacific Standard Time has created their wooden watches using fallen trees from the Big Island of Hawaii, and is planting a new tree for any they salvage. Their watches are water resistant and can withstand pressure up to a depth of 100 meters.
The watches showcase intricate designs that were inspired by the tattoos of indigenous Micronesian warriors. The stainless steel inner casing and Swiss movement is protected by a crystal sapphire window that is extremely durable and made to last.
The team behind Pacific Standard Time Co. started when a group of diverse friends with backgrounds from Hawaii, Samoa, Palau, the Philippines, Japan, Australia and the US came together. They wanted to make watches out of locally sourced materials from that region, that don’t just tell the time, but also tell a story.
Together they have over 18 years experience in the sports industry. Nilo Jones, the CEO is known from working with several major brands as well as working as Director of Operations for “Big Black” of MTV’s Rob & Big and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.
Pacific Standard Time Co. has recently launched an online crowd funding campaign Kickstarter to bring the Oceania watches to market.

  1. I'm surprised that this wooden watch is water resistant at 10 atm, many a wooden watches are only splash proof and not literally water resistant.
