Audemars Piguet Unveils Temporary Boutique in New York City During Flagship Renovation

On May 23rd, Audemars Piguet opened its doors to temporary boutique on 57thStreet in New York City. This 1,500 square foot space will act as a point of sale during the existing 57thStreet boutique’s 3-month renovation.

The temporary boutique illustrates Audemars Piguet’s support for the arts by featuring the brand’s 2015 Art Basel booth created by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur. Located at the entrance of the boutique, the booth will lead visitors to the back of the store where two dedicated sales areas, a watchmaker's bench and a lounge have been setup to welcome guests and clients.
Mathieu Lehanneur’s imaginative design takes inspiration from the worlds of science, nature and artisanship. For this stand concept, Lehanneur used the latest technology in resin and fibre moulding to cast exact replicas of the rocks he discovered in the Vallée de Joux, Audemars Piguet’s home and the cradle of Swiss Haute Horlogerie. By recreating the landscape of one of Europe’s most pristine and harsh environments, Lehanneur exposes his own interpretation of Audemars Piguet’s origins and brings the rugged, natural landscape of the Vallée de Joux to the New Your City boutique.
The temporary storefront will remain open until August 15th, 2016 upon the completion of the renovations of the official Audemars Piguet New York Boutique.
