For the second time since 2008, IWC Schaffhausen pays tribute to Swiss boat builder Boesch. The elegant, sporty Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph Edition “Boesch” (Ref. IW390504) will be available in a limited number.
With its mahogany-coloured dial, mahogany emblem and, on the inside of the glass back cover, a stylized ship’s propeller, the distinctively elegant sports chronograph makes several references to the craft manufactured by the exclusive boatbuilding company in the town of Kilchberg on the shores of Lake Zurich. The rugged strap is made of rubber with an alligator leather inlay that makes it particularly comfortable to wear. Available exclusively in Switzerland, the special edition is limited to 150 watches and can be purchased at official IWC retailers.
About Boesch Motorboote AG
When Jakob Boesch took over the Treichler & Co. boatbuilding yard in autumn 1920 he laid the foundations for a wooden boatbuilding tradition that is still maintained today in the fourth generation. As a well-known brand specializing in traditional runabouts, Boesch Motorboote together with the other companies in the family-owned Boesch Group is pledged to the sustainable use of resources without neglecting the continuous development of its products. Prime examples of its commitment include the Boesch Horizon Gliding principle or horizontal, low-energy trim position, as well as the classic lines, of course, and the perfect craftsmanship. The company also focuses on training new generations of boat builders as part of its unwavering faith in Switzerland as a production centre.
