Scott Thrift “Today”: Change the Way You See Your Day

Created by Scott Thrift, “Today” is an innovative 24-hour timepiece that offers the most artistic way of time reading.  Using a 24-hour quartz movement engineered and assembled in Germany, Today revolves at half the speed of a regular clock. Its intuitive, numberless design reveals the full spectrum of the day at a glance, with noon and midnight gently divided by a cloud-like horizon of dawn and dusk.
“Today” is brought to you by Scott Thrift, an award-winning media artist and horologist who has also created “ThePresent,” the world’s first annual clock that tells time in seasons. Launched in 2011, ThePresent was a huge hit on Kickstarter. A MoMA Design Store Bestseller, ThePresent is now owned by 3,000 people in 48 countries around the world.
Inspired by the success of his first KS campaign, Scott Thrift has just launched an online crowd funding campaign of his new timepiece. Today’s $24,000 Kickstarter goal will go towards the production of the clock, packaging, high quality printing, and support fees.
Kickstarter backers will be able to pledge for a 5” desk clock ($88), an 11” wall clock ($118), or a steel and glass 11” wall clock ($158). Any of these clocks can also be pledged for as a bundle with ThePresent.
Before producing human centered timepieces, Thrift was the Co Founder and Creative Director at the award-winning Brooklyn based entertainment company m ss ng p eces. In 2013 m ss ng p eces was included in Creativity Magazine's "Creativity 50,” an annual list that honors the 50 most influential creative figures in entertainment, tech, advertising, publishing, and more. In the same year, Thrift was recognized by Good Magazine as one of the 100 people on the cutting edge of creative impact.
