Audemars Piguet Opens Its Renovated Boutique at Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur

On August 11th, Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet celebrated the re-opening of its boutique in Kuala Lumpur, located in Starhill Gallery. Recognizing the strategic importance of the Malaysian market, the newly renovated boutique reflects the many hours of hard work dedicated to the fruition of this milestone project. In addition, the opening of a local service center in Kuala Lumpur further emphasizes the brand’s growing commitment to its Malaysian clients.
To honour its new “Home Away from Home”, Audemars Piguet hosted an exclusive cocktail party for over 200 of its distinguished guests, in the presence of Mr. Antonio Seward, General Manager of Southeast Asia. Guests were immersed in the Audemars Piguet experience, showcasing the brand’s expertise in fine watchmaking and savoir-faire. One-of-a-kind Haute Joaillerie timepieces – the Diamond Punk and Diamond Fury – were also presented during the event. Guests were equally enthralled as Michelin-starred chef Jeff Ramsey created a unique culinary adventure.
Situated along Jalan Bukit Bintang in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the 146 sqm boutique is located amongst international luxury labels and exclusive retailers. Kuala Lumpur’s luxury icon, Starhill Gallery, is one of Asia’s most beautiful shopping malls with a distinctive avant-garde facade featuring alternating angular stone and glass panels. It seamlessly integrates two world class hotels along with other top luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands, providing a holistic experience for all.
The blend of wood, metal and idyllic landscapes of Le Brassus transports clients to the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, birthplace of Audemars Piguet. The boutique is divided into two spaces: “The Manufacture” and “The House”. “The Manufacture” includes detailed product displays and a watchmaker corner. “The House” incorporates a full service bar and lounge that invites clients to a unique customer service experience.
Emblematic timepieces as well as pieces from the new collection will be showcased for watch enthusiasts and collectors to enjoy in the new Audemars Piguet “Home away from Home”.

The new retail concept allows for an enhanced experience of the Vallée de Joux. Created with the valley’s atmosphere and base materials in mind, customers are invited to discover the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship and watchmaking expertise, capturing over 140-years of the brand’s history.
The new retail concept hinges on three important attributes:-
  • Origins: Base materials, such as the use of stones and oak, bring a reminder of Audemars Piguet’s origins. The magnificent chandelier symbolises the clouds and fog which hovers very often above Vallée de Joux, while the lights are inspired by rain drops.
  • Artistry: The watchmaker’s bench serves as a central working space for the technical advisor, as he shares insights into the world of fine watchmaking. Statement art pieces around the boutique showcase the Manufacture’s commitment to Art.
  • Exclusive Relationships: A guiding element leading into the shop, the welcome bar warmly invites visitors into the boutique, while the extra-large screen draws clients into the world of Vallée de Joux.
The new boutique showcases a unique architectural concept that truly brings out the quintessence of Audemars Piguet’s DNA and values, linking its heritage to the history of Vallée de Joux, and celebrating the brand’s mastery in the fine watchmaking and expertise in decorations and complications.

Audemars Piguet Service Center
Audemars Piguet has made maintaining and servicing its timepieces in Malaysia more efficient, by adding a new service center in Kuala Lumpur. This project reflects the growth of the Manufacture in the area and its commitment to the local clientele. Opened since July this year, the facility welcomes timepieces requiring service or repair with the same passion that watchmakers show to create these models.
