Blanchet Deep Dive Automatic, COSC

Featuring a groundbreaking design and tested for extreme depths, the Deep Dive watch by Swiss watch brand Blanchet takes its inspiration from the original drawings created by Jean Blanchet, a French origin master watchmaker who established his own watch making company in 1789.
In the late 1880s, Jean Blanchet was fascinated with the stealth and abilities of the first submarine prototypes. He began to draw concepts for a timepiece that would offer a top-mount “hatch”, just like the submarines. This feature would protect the inner mechanics of the clock in any condition, thus making it impervious to the elements - including pressure. Now, Blanchet is giving these antique drawings a whole new life. The Blanchet Deep Dive features some concepts that Jean Blanchet dreamed of in the late 1800s.
While Blanchet’s innovative extreme activity watch offers a contemporary appeal by the way of leading-edge Italian design and Swiss craftsmanship, it also delivers a steadfastness that could only have been conceived upon by a master watchmaker such as Jean Blanchet.
The Blanchet Deep Dive features unheard of quality. A mono-block case, helium valve, and a 4mm sapphire crystal with 6-layer anti-reflective treatment define the expert craftsmanship behind the Deep Dive.
The Blanchet Deep Dive dial is equipped with Superluminova 10x photoluminescence - a feature that infallibly makes it possible to read the watch’s hands at any depth with zero alternative lighting. Its design makes it anatomically suited to fit the human wrist, offering a more reliable fit than ever before.
The Blanchet Deep Dive has undergone rigorous testing and the case has been proven to withstand pressure at 3,128 feet / 1000 meters below the water’s surface. Each timepiece houses a Swiss Made automatic movement certified for chronometer grade specifications by COSC, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute.
When it comes to functionality, the Blanchet Deep Dive is available in two versions:  Model featuring basic time and date is the first one and second model comes with additional GMT indication. In both versions, the case comes either in stainless steel or black PVD coated stainless steel.
The historic Blanchet brand was launched in 1819, and, nearly 200 years later, the historic company returns with a never before-seen feat in mechanics and design. Now, owned by D-Group, the brand is making its return to the prestigious watch making industry in Switzerland.
