Christopher Ward C1 Grand Malvern Power Reserve

British watch brand Christopher Ward presents C1 Grand Malvern Power Reserve, a new premium dress watch.

Arguably the most important Christopher Ward watch since their very first piece, the C5 Malvern, the C1 Grand Malvern Power Reserve will replace the current C9 Collection entirely over time.
The style and design of the watch will also influence future designs of all Christopher Ward watches across their dress, aviation, dive and motorsport ranges.
The C1 boasts both a new slimmer and narrower design and a new automatic power reserve version of Christopher Ward’s in-house movement, Calibre SH21.
The new complication allows the wearer to monitor the 120-hour power reserve through a sub-dial indicator at 9 o’clock, with the Christopher Ward logo moved to 3 o’clock, while the new bridge and rotor design allows for greater visibility of the movement itself.
The watch features timeless English design, with a 40.5mm case created by Senior Designer Adrian Buchmann and inspired by the tactile and dynamic lines of an Aston Martin DB9 and a Malvern landscape.
The elegance of the case is supplemented by the curved dial with domed and polished nickel indexes and LL Brown font numerals.
The strap is available in Shell cordovan equine leather – tanned in Italy and produced using only natural vegetable tannins, its superlative quality marking it as the obvious pairing for the premium dress watch - or Milanese mesh stainless steel. The screw-down exhibition case back is domed sapphire crystal.
