Nautica NMX 1600

Nautica watches introduces NMX 1600, an innovative chronograph that is strong in appearance and light in weight.

The XL size steel case has a fully skeletonised construction, with the entire middle section and lugs cut away to reveal the red anodised aluminium components inside, which stand out powerfully against the backdrop of the watch’s ultra modern architecture.
Also red in color, the réhaut and the central chrono seconds hand contrast with the all-black dial and emphasize the sporting spirit underscored by the watch’s perforated silicone strap. The technical look and feel of the timepiece is reflected in a high precision quartz movement that can calculate partial and intermediate times.

HYT H2 Alinghi Limited Edition

For the second year of their partnership, HYT and Alinghi hoist their sails even higher with the H2 Alinghi which follows in the wake of the H4 Alinghi.

For the first time in its history, HYT has built an H2 with a full untreated titanium case. This is also the very first H2 to feature the new black liquid, unveiled at the beginning of the year. The H2’s caliber has been suitably adapted: for the first time, it’s been crafted in two tone black and grey; above it glides a brand new central minutes hand, drawing inspiration from marine-style hands.
The new interplay between grey and black gives the watch an appearance that’s both technical and elegant, further highlighted by the bezel rider tab, which in another first, sports a rounded shape to accommodate the Alinghi logo. Lastly, the hour flange has also been redesigned with a twin satin/glass blasted effect, making the hour markers stand out both more clearly and more gently. The piece is mounted on a new ultra-resistant technical strap in matching shades.

Maintaining its original diameter of 48.8 mm, the timepiece will be produced in a limited edition of just 25, available from June 2016.

Speake-Marin London Chronograph

This spring, luxury watch brand Speake-Marin unveils a special edition dedicated to the early years of its founder. This special edition will only be available in the Fine Watch Room at Harrods, in London during summer where it will be officially launched. The London Chronograph is a tribute for Peter Speake-Marin to his first steps as watchmaker when he restored antique watches in the Piccadilly arcade in London.

After qualifying as a horologist at London's Hackney College, Peter went to Switzerland to deepen his knowledge of watch making at the Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Program (WOSTEP) in Neuchâtel. Following his first three commercial watchmaking positions which were short lived, due to his hunger to grow as a watchmaker, he met Georges Somlo in 1990 and stayed in the arcade restoring early pocket and wrist watches during 6 years.
The London Chronograph is a special edition in many ways, by its number of pieces being made, but also by its heart. It is powered by a Valjoux 92 made during the 1950’s and 60's. As with many mechanical calibres the quartz revolution in the late 60's cut short the life of such calibres.

The movements used for the London Chronograph were purchased by a collector of vintage movements and stocked in a safe for many years, waiting to be part of this special edition, dedicated to the roots of Speake-Marin.

Today these calibres are rare, it was chosen by Peter for this project, because it is the same type of movement that he restored during his time in London during the 1990’s.

The Valjoux 92 was a popular chronograph movement from the 1950's. Succeeding the popular Valjoux 23 family (including the Valjoux 72), the Valjoux 92 was similarly sized at 13 ligne (29.5 mm) but used very different technology. It was an oscillating pinion design, distinct at a glance for having two rather than three chronograph engagement wheels visible at the back. Although both Valjoux movements are column wheel designs, the Valjoux 92 has seven pillars versus the nine of all other Valjoux movements. Historical Valjoux chronograph movement were used by companies ranging from Patek Philippe to Rolex and Tag Heuer, they were one of the largest and most successful of movement manufacturers.
The London Chronograph is housed in a 42mm titanium case with a three dimensional white dial. On the dial, the Arabic numbers alternate with Roman numerals to bring a vintage touch, first seen on the Gothic Velsheda limited edition. The red 12 has classical connotations and associations with early pocket and wrist watches made in England where on some classical designs the entire dial numbers were in black with the exception of the 12.
The centre seconds chronograph is married in colour to the 30 minute recorder hand located at3 o’clock on the dial. The two subsidiary dials for the 30 minute recorder and the seconds dial are both seen to float on the dial and below them is found the Speake-Marin topping tool logo wheel fitted to the hour wheel turning with the hour hand.

The Central Speake-Marin signature “Foundation” style hands in heat blued steel bring the final touch to this very special edition.

This special edition will only be available in the Fine Watch Room at Harrods, in London during summer as part as the Made with Love and Precision campaign. Made with Love and Precision is a celebration of the horological offering which has established Harrods as the ultimate destination for Fine Watches. Throughout July and August 2016, the luxury department store will hero twenty three of the world’s most important fine watch houses through a stunning exhibition of timepieces launching exclusively at Harrods, a dedicated Brompton Road window takeover and innovative retail theatre. This celebration will continue throughout the store, where extraordinary craftsmanship will be brought to the fore with highlights including exciting product exclusives and engaging retail activity.

Speake-Marin Skull Face to Face Tourbillon

It is no coincidence if Skulls appeared many years ago in the Speake-Marin Collection. From an early age Peter Speake-Marin was fascinated with the subject and developed an affinity with the philosophy Memento mori. To remind that life if precious and every minute counts, nearly ten years ago Peter Speake Marin decided to place skulls on the dial of the Cabinet des Mystères collection. The collection holds a special place in the Speake-Marin watchmaking world.
Face to Face’s intricate double gold skull engraving has been etched onto the dial using a chemical etching technique. The two skulls are face to face to illustrate a reflection in time. The bezel is also set with 36 baguette diamonds (2.16 carat).
The Magister Tourbillon at 6 o’clock features a hand-finished 60-second tourbillon. Turning the tourbillon over, the movement featuring hand-finishing can be fully appreciated through the display back. Offset on the main bridge is the noble platinum micro-rotor, its strong and sober aesthetic counterbalanced by the intricate complexity of the tourbillon.
The lower tourbillon cage is supported by a striking paddle-shaped bridge offering clear visual access to the surrounding gears below. The rhodium-finished German silver bridges and main plate are circular-grained with polished screw heads and polished countersinks. Technical details are engraved and gilded on the bridges either side of the platinum rotor.
The Skull Face to Face Tourbillon is a limited edition of 8 pieces.

Hublot Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant Herovillain Limited Edition

Recently luxury Swiss watch brand Hublot has celebrated the launch of its latest timepiece with Brand Ambassador Kobe Bryant – the Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain– which coincided with the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly redesigned Hublot Beverly Hills Boutique.

Following the successful launch of the Big Bang UNICO Chronograph Retrograde Kobe “Vino” Bryant in 2015 and the King Power Black Mamba Chronograph in 2013, this is the brand’s third timepiece with the basketball legend.
On 18 May 2016, Jean- François Sberro, Managing Director Hublot of America, and Greg Simonian, Owner of Hublot Beverly Hills boutique, hosted an intimate ribbon cutting ceremony and watch unveiling at the Hublot Beverly Hills boutique with Kobe Bryant, in honor of the boutique’s complete redesign and the NBA star’s long time partnership with Hublot. Guests, including press and friends of the brand, gathered at the Hublot boutique at 9470 Brighton Way, as Kobe Bryant, Jean-François Sberro and Greg Simonian cut the ribbon.
Guests were then invited inside where Kobe Bryant was presented with his newest limited edition watch, known as the Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain, which is the star’s third timepiece with Hublot.

The redesigned 1376 square foot store, among the brand’s first in the United States, is now a modern study in gray tonal textures and materials, including ebony wood paneled walls and doors; graphite leather wall accents and slate floors; stainless steel, glass, and hammered metal fixtures and watch cases; and distinctive yet refined repeated Hublot “H” logos integrated on glass panels inside the black stone façade. An enclosed VIP lounge area is in the rear of the store, offering an even more private experience for the brand’s most discerning clientele.
The Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain is available exclusively at Hublot’s Beverly Hills Boutique and is limited to 24 pieces of which the brand presented a personalized #24 to the legend himself. The ceramic piece evokes a masculine and sophisticated design with black and gold hues. The dial features a black snake applique, a nod to Kobe Bryant’s “Black Mamba” basketball nickname. The sapphire case-back carries a printed “KOB20" logo, and each piece is engraved with its special edition number, 1/24 – 24/24.
Featuring a self-winding moon-phase movement, the Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain will be available on a black python strap with black stitching, an echo of Hublot’s 10 Year ALL BLACK anniversary concept.

Hublot Showcases Baselworld 2016 Novelties in Oman

Hublot and Mistal boutique presented the Swiss watch brand’s Baselworld 2016 novelties to the press in Muscat on May 8, at the Crowne Plaza, in the presence of Regional Director Hublot Middle East and Africa Marco Tedeschi, and Dharmesh Ajit Khimji, Managing Director - Mistal.
The event in Muscat was the last stop of Hublot’s road show in the region, and showcased eight of the new watches launched by Hublot at Baselworld this year. A watch brand that causes even the most discerning eyes to raise an appreciative brow, Hublot has received much admiration amongst women and men alike. In line with the celebration of 10 years of the All Black concept, the Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black was the star of the new collection, along with the Big Bang MECA-10 that boasts an innovative skeleton dial construction revealing the detailed mechanics of its new manufacture movement HUB1201. With all the plates, axles, wheels and gear synchronized in perfect harmony, this atypical design has a 10-day power reserve, further reinforcing the connection between man and machine.

The Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono UEFA EURO2016 builds football fans’ anticipation for this summer’s EURO Cup, while the Classic Fusion Berluti All Blackand Scritto, highlighting the collaboration of Hublot and maker of prime leather Berluti, redefine style and distinction. The Classic Fusion Berluti straps were created through the same dedicated procedure used for Berluti shoes; from patterning, shaping, cutting and assembling the pieces of leather, to the mounting and lacquering of the straps.

The Big Bang Unico Italia Independent Camo Blue, Green and Black are a definite attraction. Retaining the strength and lightness of carbon whilst offering the infinite spectrum of colors and eye-catching metallic effects of Texalium®, the unique collection is a result of the synergy between Hublot and Italia Independent, and rests on last year’s successful partnership between the two brands.

For the ladies, the Big Bang Tutti Frutti Linen comes as a fresh, colorful collection, with light yet strong linen fabric on the straps and dials, representing an ethical and sustainable symbol of elegance. In addition to these, the Big Bang “One-Click” 39mm radiate through perfectly set diamond embellishments and a very practical strap changing system allowing ladies to adapt their watch to their fashion trend.

The Mistal boutique, a part of the Ajit Khimji group, is a luxury watch and jewellery boutique that homes some of exclusive Hublot timepieces. The new showroom that was recently inaugurated is an epitome of timeless beauty and mirrors the same class, refinement and novelty as the brands it holds.

Audemars Piguet Opens Its New Flagship Boutique on Pařížská Street, Prague

Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, in cooperation with Luxury Brand Management, has presented a new design for its flagship boutique on Pařížská Street, reflecting the global retail concept based on more than 140 years of heritage and artistry.

The opening ceremony in Prague was attended by Mr Francois-Henry Bennahmias, Chief Executive Officer of Audemars Piguet.
Prague is following in the footsteps of cities such as Los Angeles and Singapore. The boutique, with an area of 73 square metres, is divided into two main parts. The first offers an extensive portfolio of women's and men’s watches in adjacent showcases with a dedicated welcome area. The second features a pleasant lounge, where the client can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of champagne for maximum comfort during the presentation.

The mix of wood and metal blending into the overall interior with elements of idyllic landscapes of Le Brassus immerses clients into the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, the birthplace of Audemars Piguet. The interior is dominated by a massive chandelier symbolising the clouds and fog of the Vallée de Joux, and the additional lights represent drops of rain that regularly grace Le Brassus.

Revolo – The Freedom to Design Your Own Luxury Watch

Revolo introduces a new revolutionary watch concept that gives consumers the freedom to create their own high quality watch at an affordable price. They can design it in an online configurator and immediately see the result and price. Besides the customization, Revolo offers personalization in the form of engraving the backside of the watch, or the topside of the packaging.

The consumer can visit a dealer or go online and choose a model, the colour in steel, black or rose gold, a fixed or rotating bezel, de graphic insert in the bezel, the movement, the dial, hands, crown, bracelet or strap and the buckle etc. From the start, the Revolo concept, offers consumers to create over 100 million unique watches.
To enhance the personal touch, Revolo offers the customer to additionally personalize the watch, by engraving a text or image at the backside of the watch or at the front side of the packaging. The watches will be manufactured by the watchmakers at Revolo BV in  Amsterdam. After August 2016, delivery will be within 10 working days. For orders with urgency there will be a quick delivery service with an additional service charge.
As it is a personalized item, the watches had to be high quality and durable. For that reason Revolo has worked towards a Swiss quality level, as appears from the specifications:
-  Timeless sports/classic models, durability starts with a design that is not likely to get outdated.
-  cases and solid bracelets made of 316 stainless steel, standard in the Swiss watch industry, CNC-machines, but hand finished
-  Sapphire crystal glass at the front side, 10 ATM water resistant, luminous hands and indices on the dials
-  Reliable and precise movements. Ronda 515 Swiss Quartz or mechanical self-winding movements, 21 Jewels. Japanese Miyota 821A with skeleton rotor or a 26 jewels, Swiss made automatic movement with hacking seconds.
-  All steel and leather straps are equipped with a Revolo V quick change system; the consumer can tool less change it with 1 minute, allowing a change for the occasion (formal, leisure, sports style).
-  Price level from € 250 with Quartz movement to € 600 with a Swiss Made automatic movement, with a current maximum of € 800.

To configure a Revolo one needs to be online. For jewellers Revolo developed a revolutionary concept, in which online and retail stores are no longer separated and do not compete but are integrated as partners. The consumer can go the dealer and literally feel and experience the Revolo watch and subsequently configure and order.

Revolo has launched its concept on Kickstarter on the 3rd of May 2016. It is planned to commence manufacturing and delivery in August 2016 and also start a consumer campaign.

Revolo was founded by Ron Weststrate, supported by a few private investors and Geert Tibosch, a true watch aficionado and marketer. Ron Weststrate has a long background in managing companies importing high tech systems, retail stores and has been an importer of Swiss watches for several years. The concept was developed in an international team of cofounder/shareholders and specialists in the area of watch design and -engineering, branding, marketing and web development.

Ferro Distinct 2

After the successful launch of its first timepiece Distinct, a single handed watch inspired by the tachometers used in sports cars, Ferro expands its watch collection by unveiling a new version: Distinct 2.

Inspired by the tachometers used in luxury and sports cars, the Distinct 2 displays the time with a single hand on a modern dial housed in a classic polished stainless steel case wire lug case.
Measuring 44mm, the polished stainless steel case of each Ferro Distinct 2 watch is 100 meters water-resistant. The onion shaped screw-in crown with engraved "F" logo adds classic touch to this single handed watch.
The Ferro Distinct 2 watch is available in both automatic and quartz versions. Automatic edition has an option of either Swiss Made ETA 2824 or Japanese Origin Miyota 8215 movement versions whereas quartz model houses Swiss Made Ronda 715 calibre. Further, Ferro Distinct Watches come in 4 different colour schemes. The ETA 2824 is a 25 jewel movement at 28,800 beats per hour, 8 beats per second or 4Hz. The Miyota 8215 is a 21 jewels and beats at 21,600BPH.
The large dial of Ferro Distinct 2 offers enough space for index markings to make time-reading easier. In this single handed watch, the smallest lines of the index represent 5 minute increments, the medium lines represent 15 minute increments; the large lines represent 30 minute increments and the extra large lines represent 1 hour increments.  A round window at 4’o clock indicates date.
Automatic versions of Ferro Distinct 2 have double domed sapphire crystal front glass whereas quartz model comes fitted with flat sapphire crystal. The Ferro Distinct 2 comes with a fine Italian leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle.
Ferro’s first creation, the Ferro Distinct was a huge hit as its Kick starter campaign was successfully funded by collection more than $95,000 in January 2015. The brand produced more than 1000 Distinct watches and shipped to customers as the part of its first online crowd funding campaign. Inspired by the success of its first collection, Ferro launched its new model Distinct 2 on Kickstarter in Apr 2016. In this new campaign, backers  pledged more than $83,000 for the realisation of Ferro Distinct 2 Watch.

A Heuer Carrera watch once owned by Swedish Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson sets record at Sotheby’s Geneva auctions

At the auction of Important Watches held on 14 May 2016 in Geneva by Sotheby’s, an 18K-gold Heuer Carrera chronometer, Calibre 12 Manufacture, with date, and once owned by Swedish Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson, went for 225'000 CHF.

TAG Heuer Formula 1 Red Bull Racing Team Special Edition Chronograph

In December 2015, TAG Heuer became the Official Timekeeper & Official Watch of the Formula 1 Red Bull Racing team. The two brands announced the new name of the 2016 car, "Red Bull Racing - TAG Heuer RB12", with TAG Heuer being included in the team's official name. It is the first time a watchmaker has ever been named directly in the official title of an F1 team.

Red Bull Racing has amassed four Double World Champion titles, having won the FIA Constructors' and Drivers' titles each year in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. However, it was Red Bull Racing's unorthodox approach to the sport and to entertainment which appealed to TAG Heuer, one which is perfectly in line with the Swiss watch brand's new marketing strategy.
Recently at the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix event TAG Heuer has introduced two special series TAG Heuer Formula 1 Red Bull Racing Team watches to celebrate its first year of partnership with the most unconventional team in Formula 1.
The Red Bull Racing Team steel chronograph bears the team's colours, midnight blue and red, an alliance which naturally alludes to the racing mindset. Adorned with a bezel sporting a tachymeter scale in matte blue aluminium, this piece reflects the DNA of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection perfectly. The watch is available in two versions, one of which has a steel bracelet in keeping with the watch brand's flagship models.
This model is also available with a strap made from technical textile for a sportier look, with red stitching inspired by the seat belts of racing cars. The quartz chronograph movement is accurate to a tenth of a second – an indispensable feature in a motor racing watch – and is displayed on the small counter at 6 o'clock, with the minute counter at 9 o'clock and the current seconds counter at 3 o'clock. The hands are red, matching the team colours and complement the white counters and deep blue case back perfectly. The back of the case is of course engraved with the legendary black and white chequered flag, symbol of Formula 1, as well as the exclusive Red Bull Racing Team logo.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition À Répétition Minutes – Dial Featuring Miniature Painting of Van Gogh’s Starry Night over the Rhône

The inherent appeal of the Master Grande Tradition à Répétition Minutes is magnificently enhanced by the presence of a miniature painting on its dial paying eloquent tribute to Van Gogh’s Starry Night over the Rhône: a work that fulfilled one of the painter’s most cherished dreams. It took every ounce of the enamellist’s artistry to transpose onto the dial all the magic of this night sky. The timeless intensity of the deep, dark colours is sealed by Grand Feu enamel. The 39 mm watch is issued in a limited series of 18 pieces in pink gold.
Endowed with major innovations including trebuchet hammers, crystal gongs, an ergonomic and a user-friendly pushbutton, this minute repeater watch produces a peerlessly pure, rich and well-rounded sound.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 942 mechanical automatic movement beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, equipped with a minute repeater, comprises 437 parts and delivers a 40-hour power reserve. 7.17mm thick, it is imbued with standout aesthetic sophistication reflected in the oscillating weight crafted in pink gold.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grand Tourbillon Enamel

Perfectly mastered within the Métiers Rares® Atelier of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, the art of paillonné enamel consists of cutting out tiny sparkles of silver and yellow gold leaf foil. Only experience can enable the artisan to distribute these extremely volatile tiny spangles or paillettes across the enamel in an aesthetically pleasing manner. After firing the enamel in the kiln, polishing reveals the metal elements glimmering beneath the dial. The final result is an extraordinary deep blue dial that looks as if it is illuminated with fireworks of golden star dust.
The performance of the ultra-light titanium tourbillon embodying a blend of precision, reliability and sturdiness, pays tribute to the inventive spirit that has consistently characterised Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. This exceptional piece crafted in a 43 mm white gold case is enhanced by decorations in keeping with the traditions of Haute Horlogerie.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 978 mechanical automatic movement beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, equipped with a tourbillon, consists of 302 parts and delivers a 45-hour power reserve. The Côtes de Genève motif adorning the going-train bridge is complemented by a variety of hand-crafted techniques that can be admired through the sapphire case back of the watch.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition À Quantième Perpétuel 8 Jours SQ

The beauty and complexity of engraving, skeleton-working as well as enamelling meet and mingle in this model inspired by a 1928 Grand Complication pocket watch. This contemporary version testifies to the creative vitality of the Métiers Rares® Atelier in which artisans put forward ideas, experiment and dare to associate various approaches in giving birth to virtuoso creations. With its inspired skeleton-working and its Grand Feu green enamelling crafted using the champlevé technique, this 42 mm model in white gold is issued in a limited series of 200 pieces.
Equipped with Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 876SQ, one of the most iconic complications ever produced by the Manufacture, this Master Grande Tradition watch is a complete time measuring instrument. As well as the time itself, its dial also displays the date, the day of the week, the month, the complete year in four digits and the age of the moon – while remaining clearly legible despite the profusion of these indications. The 8 days power-reserve display and a day/night indicator are smoothly integrated within the extremely sophisticated dial architecture.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 876SQ mechanical manually-wound movement beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, equipped with a perpetual calendar, comprises262 parts and delivers an 8-day power reserve. 6,60 mm thick, the calibre is mechanically programmed to operate accurately until 2100, the perpetual calendar functions can be adjusted by means of a single corrector.

JaegerLeCoultre Rendez-Vous Moon High Jewellery

This exceptional Rendez-Vous Moon model in white gold is an anthem to gemsetting, expressed through technical mastery and creativity of the artisans of Manufacture JaegerLeCoultre. The watch is a stunning sight from all angles, radiantly adorned with baguette-cut and brilliant stones. Spanning almost half of the dial, the starry sky is depicted by 301 blue sapphires of various sizes in a snow-setting technique. With its sparkling stones and heavenly array of colours, this model exercises an authentic fascination.
The moon phase is the most feminine of all complications. As well as giving it pride of place on the dial, Jaeger-LeCoultre has also endowed it with peak precision emblematic of the innovative spirit driving the Maison. Whereas a classic moon phase accumulates a one-day difference every two and a half years, this Rendez-Vous Moon is designed to remain accurate for 972 years. A mysterious star on the dial indicates the time of a future rendezvous.

The Rendez-Vous Moon High Jewellery houses the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 935 . This mechanical automatic movement with its 40-hourpower reserve is enriched with a moon phase.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Tourbillon Enamel

For the very first time, the Rendez-Vous Tourbillon model by Jaeger-LeCoultre adopts the intensity of black on an opaque enamelled dial exuding a unique sense of depth. This resolutely graphic watch in a white gold case is lit up by the presence of 254 diamonds on the dial, bezel, lugs and crown.
With its stylised gracefully elongated numerals, this Rendez-Vous Tourbillon watch radiates an inimitable allure. Its elegance is also expressed through a sophisticated movement equipped with a tourbillon designed to compensate for the effects of gravity. This model embodies a signature blend of equally significant technical and aesthetic elements.

The Calibre 978 automatic movement enriched with a tourbillon is crafted and assembled by hand at the workshops of Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre and has a 45-hour power reserve.

Sablier Grand Cru

Sablier is an American luxury watch company inspired by wine. The Grand Cru case is shaped like a wine glass and features the world's first and only concave sapphire crystal. This feature is patent-protected (U.S. Utility patent #8,009,521) and provides unmatched clarity of the dial.

Designed by artist and engineer, K.C. Wu, the Sablier Grand Cru is hand-assembled in Princeton, NJ and is limited to 250 watches; each watch is individually numbered.
Founder and inventor, KC Wu, is an accomplished medical device engineer which has influenced the ergonomic design of the Sablier Grand Cru.  The Grand Cru is cut from a single piece of surgical grade steel and curves towards the wrist to provide ultimate comfort.  Sablier uses a transparent case back to feature its Swiss movement, the ETF 2824-2.
The crown of the watch is also re-positioned from "3 o'clock" to the "2 o'clock" position to prevent the crown from jamming into the wrist. The Sablier philosophy is that true luxury is time spent with loved ones.  Many times that is over a glass of wine.  Sablier used the design elements of the wine glass and corkscrew to celebrate the symbolism of wine.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time

After unveiling the new version of its iconic Overseas collection at the SIHH 2016 haute horlogerie exhibition, prestigious Swiss watch manufacture Vacheron Constantin launches the Overseas world time.

Three interpretations – with a blue, silver-toned or brown dial – created in a spirit of casual elegance and practical convenience are more than ever dedicated to travellers wishing to keep track of the time around the world at a single glance.

The dial of the Overseas world time displays no less than 37 time zones, including those that are off-set by a half-hour or quarter-hour in relation to UTC time. The display comprises three parts.
The centre features a “Lambert” projection map depicting the continents (enhanced by a sunburst satin-brushed finish) and the oceans (in a velvet finish), along with a translucent lacquered disc bearing the city names. A third sapphire disc laid over the map provides day/night indications by means of subtly graded smoky tints, synchronised with the 24-hourdisc. Finally, a translucent lacquered velvet-finished outer ring serves to indicate the hours and minutes.
An ideal travel companion, the Overseas world time model features a 43.5 mm-diameter case housing Caliber 2460 WT. This self-winding movement patented, developed and crafted by Vacheron Constantin operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and enjoys a 40-hourpower reserve. Its 22K gold oscillating weight bears a wind rose – a universal symbol indicating the cardinal points for travellers – adorned with sandblasted, polished and finely grained finishing. All the indications powered by this mechanism are smoothly and easily adjusted via the crown.
The comfort and flexibility of this new model bearing the Hallmark of Geneva extend right the way through to its bracelet featuring an easy-fit system. In addition, an ingenious interchangeable solution for these bracelets and their folding clasp means they can be switched and secured without any tools, while guaranteeing the same firm hold as on any traditional fixed bracelet.

BOLDR Journey

The team behind the successful TRAVISLEON Heirloom mechanical timepiece is back, this time with a pioneering meca-quartz timepiece geared for the modern, urban pioneer. Under their new banner of the BOLDR Supply Company, the team behind the TRAVISLEON Heirloom and the BOLDR Voyage have just launched their latest timepiece - the BOLDR Journey.
The BOLDR Journey is a unique timepiece that bridges the old and new, modern and vintage - with a vintage aviator-inspired design, powered by a modern meca-quartz movement inside. The Journey is powered with the Seiko VK64 meca-quartz movement , a hybrid of quartz and mechanical movement for the chronograph, combining the best of both technologies. The timekeeping mechanism is quartz, with a crystal regulator, powered by a battery. The BOLDR Journey marks an important step in the journey of BOLDR Watches, overcoming previous challenges to create a striking, unique timepiece.
The domed mineral glass lens lends the watch a vintage look, while creating a curved canopy, reminiscent of antique aviation dials. The mineral glass lens brings out the dial characteristics and highlights the watch face, while also scattering and breaking the light on the sandwich dial, creating a soft, even tone of light on the textured watch face.
Mixing the best of the old and the new, the BOLDR Journey uses different textures on the double-layer sandwich dial to bring out the watch’s character. The watch face features a classic “Disc-Track” texture on the subdial to further highlight and accent the layers, while the numerals take inspiration from vintage aviation instrument arrangements, found in planes during the 30’s and 50’s.
It’s also the first BOLDR watch to feature a limited-edition art piece on the caseback, created by notable Malaysian tattoo artist Kevin Tan. Much like the art found on the caseback, the BOLDR Journey is a unique mix of the old and the new, with a vintage aviator-inspired design, powered by a modern meca-quartz movement inside.
With the new brand and new watch, the BOLDR Supply Company seeks to expand to more than just watches - creating a lifestyle brand for the like-minded, pioneers across the world. With plans to release more lifestyle product in the near future - each with their exacting standard of quality and trademark style.
With many more watches also planned in their line-up, the team behind the BOLDR Supply Company aims to always create products that are more than meets the eye - each product is engineered to look good, while also being built to last and accompany you on your journey through life. Their keen sense of spirit also means each BOLDR product possesses a unique personality, making each watch line unique and special, and produced only in limited runs.
By visiting BOLDR crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter, customers can order their favorite Journey timepiece. Price starts from $209. Estimated delivery in Sep 2016.
