Hublot Takes Part in the Klarlund 70th Anniversary Exhibition Celebrating the Art of Fusion in Watchmaking

From 17th to 19th October, Hublot took part in the 6th Klarlund Exhibition organized by its exclusive Danish retailer Klarlund upon the occasion of its 70th anniversary, presenting its renowned motto “The Art of Fusion” which now guides all its actions, innovations, developments and partnerships.

Klarlund was founded in 1947 in Copenhagen where it opened its first shop on Vesterbrogade. Klarlund’s highest priorities are to provide an exclusive offer as well as to give attentive and skilled service to every customer in a personal and unique atmosphere combining tradition and innovation.

The 6th edition of the Klarlund Exhibition takes place in the unique premises of The Old Stock Exchange, “Børsen”, the current headquarters of the Danish Chamber of Commerce. Completed in 1640, this refined Dutch Renaissance style building is well-known for its distinctive spire, shaped as the tails of four dragons twined together, topped by three crowns, symbolizing the Scandinavian empire (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden).
Highlighting its pioneering and audacious spirit, the Hublot exhibition reveals the story behind Hublot’s driving principle “The Art of Fusion” which consists of blending past and future, tradition and innovation. Using the endless options of nature as an infinite source of inspiration while relying on its own highly skilled specialists, Hublot has brought so many revolutionary materials and great horological complications to life.

Two pieces presented during this Exhibition perfectly embody this spirit. The Big Bang Meca 10 Magic Gold featuring a 10-day power reserve Manufacture movement housed in a Magic Gold case, a patented, scratch-resistant material created by the revolutionary fusion of 24-carat gold and ceramic. The Big Bang Unico Red Sapphire features the brand’s in-house manufactured 72-hour power reserve chronograph movement, the UNICO, and a case made of red sapphire of perfectly uniform colour, a technical challenge and a premiere at such scale (250 pieces).
